Excellent coffee maker !!! October 13, 2005

Ok, I have owned thermal coffee makers before, so I am used to how they work. If you have any issues with the lid, read the manual and do not complain about it. These reviews about how the lid is not easy to work and that the coffee spills all over is purely based on people who are lazy, and/or do not follow directions. If you simply close the lid all the way before you brew, NOTHING will spill and all of the coffee will go into the carafe. Also, if you need extremely hot coffee when you drink it, then preheat the carafe with hot water before you brew the coffee. If not, your coffee will still be pretty hot, but not scalding like normal warming plate coffee makers. By the way, warming plate coffee makers always overcook the coffee and make it stale 99% of the time. I prefer a bit less hot coffee where the taste is still in tact. The coffee tastes wonderful in this coffee maker, and is just as good as most of the $100 to $199 coffee makers. This thing is very compact, and not as tall as other thermal coffee makers. The brew process is slower than other coffee makers, but this is how it should be. You want the full flavor of the coffee, not just a hint of it with boiling water added. Not all things need to be so expedient. Waiting for a nice cup of brewed coffee in this machine is worth it. But if you cannot wait and need it right away, set the timer and wake up to hot coffee waiting for your drinking enjoyment.

So in a nutshell, if you have never owned a thermal coffee maker, read the directions. If you have problems with the lid or the temperature not being 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, don’t buy it. However, if you are not a lazy person, am able to wait 5 minutes instead of 2, and know how to line up arrows on a lid……this coffee maker is for you!

I love this coffee maker, and it does an excellent job. The coffee is very robust and flavorful. The machine is very quiet, and works exactly as it is supposed to. The temperature of the coffee is very hot, and is still quite hot after adding a refrigerated creamer to it. I have no qualms with this machine, and the price is perfect for what you get. Please take this review for what it is worth, for I am a very educated coffee consumer. I have owned numerous coffee machines, and this is right up there with the best of them. I’ve been using this coffee maker for eight months now, and I love it! I’m drinking warm coffee right now that I brewed almost five hours ago! I primed the carafe by putting hot water in it for a few minutes and dumping it out before making my coffee this morning. If I don’t prime, it usually keeps my coffee warm for 3+ hours. Not only does it keep the coffee warm longer than a standard coffee pot, it does so without using additional power to heat a warming plate, and it’s safer than one with a warming plate and glass carafe because the outside is cool to touch.

The carafe can also be taken off the base and placed on any surface since it doesn’t get hot on the outside, which is handy if my parents are visiting and we want to sit in the living room drinking our coffee. No more interrupting conversation to get up and go to the kitchen for a refill! I was going to buy an insulated carafe for this very reason, but I decided to get this when my old coffee maker (not a Mr. Coffee, for anyone who was wondering) stopped working. The cost was a little higher than standard coffee makers with glass carafes, but it was cheaper than buying a standard coffee maker and a separate insulated carafe, and I don’t have to worry about finding a place in my kitchen to store a separate carafe with this.

When I was looking to purchase a new machine, I only was looking for a Bunn. Bunn makes the best coffee machines, none can compare. Every diner, coffee house, and Dunkin’ Donuts only use Bunn machines. The A10 is one great machine! Brews perfect cups of coffee hot and quickly. Everyone in my office is very happy with the unit. If you’re a serious coffee drinker, please don’t cheap out on a Mr.Coffee, Braun or Krupps– frankly they cannot brew coffee at the speed, temperature, or taste of a Bunn unit. I bought the A10 to replace a Bunn unit that I used for 10 years without a glitch.

I’ve seen other Bunn brewers run years under constant use and never wink out. If you are looking for a constant use brewer, especially for an office setting, this is it. Don’t skimp on a cheap, plastic Braun, Krups, or Mr. Coffee. This is an investment that will take the abuse of multiple office patrons.

It will not make a latte but if you want a good cup of coffee in less time it takes to brush your teeth this it it.

Ps. I have had other coffee makers that start with B and sell for over 100.00 and it just made it past one year. this Bunn will last many years to come and just think they make replacement parts. The last coffee maker I will ever buy thank you BUNN

Easy to use, attractive design, makes aromatic hot coffee. I like the aroma function that brews the coffee slower and uses the “shower head method” to better soak the coffee grounds while brewing. As long as the machine doesn’t break down, the 5 stars will remain. Silly me, I thought maybe was made in Italy, but no, made is China. I bought this because of good price, free shipping and attractive design. It has more pluses than that. It is a good buy!

I have used almost every brand of coffee maker. But when I made the first pot with my DeLonghi, I new then that I would never use another coffee maker. The coffee that was made from it was by far the best I have ever tasted, even comparing it with coffee shops.If you by this coffee maker you will not be dissatisfied.

I have used Bunn coffee makers for years, however, mine broke and I bought this coffee maker, and it is great. Brews coffee like we like it, just takes more time than the Bunn, but is worth the time. Good value and easy to operate. Uses less coffee than the Bunn, so that is a plus. Love Love the 14 cup carafe.
